In Summer 2025, we launched the Road to Resilience — a rolling activation preparing communities for economic shifts and climate shocks by strengthening local health, social life, and interdependence.
Rooted in lessons from the mutual aid movement in Appalachia after Hurricane Helene and our ongoing work in emerging food systems, we’re spotlighting small-scale, culturally inclusive solutions that build neighborhood dynamism from the ground up.
Dispatches from the Road
We can hardly keep up with the journey. Along the way, we’ve been visiting places where communities are testing new ideas in food systems, public space, and resilience — from circular economies and co-housing to rebuilding our food system, and narrowing roadways with creative interventions.
